I asked Yoshito sensei about Kazuo Ohno’s rebellion. He smiled and replied: -Kazuo Ohno always did what he wanted. Hijkata didn’t like when people said that Kazuo Ohno was a butoh dancer, he said Kazuo was a “modaaaaa-danseru-.”
